Shivagiri is a major pilgrimage and tourist destination in Vijayapura, famous for its enormous 85-foot statue of Lord Shiva. The statue weighs approximately 1,500 tonnes, with a Shivalinga beneath it. Shivagiri has developed into a spiritual and family-oriented destination with gardens and other visitor facilities.
